Definitions

This is not the definition of a robot.
A robot must have a similar physical appearance as a human or animal or appear to think link a human or animal even if it's being controlled remotely.
A remote control car can be called a robot if someone makes it respond like a pet in a realistic manner.
If it is bipedal (meaning heel to toe, not on wheels, treads, or slide), it technically can't be called a robot (I don't know if marching counts).
Knees are needed for balance, which is not needed to be a robot.

Wind is a remote source, but if it doesn't look like a human, or appear to think like a human, it isn't a robot, and the same goes for nuclear power.

I mean solar power.
By "looks" I mean physical characteristics which doesn't necessarily mean exact looks.
A moving bone structure of an animal powered by wind may be called a robot, but don't call it a robot if it's not put together correctly.

Remember legs, knees, and feet aren't needed to be called a robot, but it must appear to be living in some way.

I like those arts.
Make me thing Future aiko would have use many different source of power in one body.
Heat from motors, CPU, batteries, the SKIN, Hot water or tea converted to electricity.
Motor regen when doing hand shakes etc..
Throttle use of different of hardware, when not in use to preserve power.

Imagine Aiko would walk in the sun all day without charging? (provided that we wont melt)
or finish off your tea to charge^^
cought .. Thermoelectric

I believe that these use the term robot loosely.
I think these are intended, and called, kinetic sculpture and art in motion.
still, when you read what they do, are they no less astounding than a robot?
these are purely mechanical.

I was pretty much having a bad day when I wrote that.
By the way, I meant solar power not nuclear.
